Abstract

This thesis deals with the importance of selection and implementation of information system to the company in terms of business investment, which should not be underestimated nowadays. The goal of this thesis is the suggestion of suitable supplier of business information system and management of implementation of information system in chosen business. In the theoretical chapter are described enterprise information systems and their implementation, characterized by definition and the theoretical basis of ERP systems. Categorize them according to several criteria, cost-effectiveness analysis of investments and their implementation in the company. The third chapter deals with the introduction of the company based on information from the company Východočeské plynárenské strojírny, a.s. and assessment of the current state of information system in the company and its modules. The viewpoint is analyzed through SWOT analysis, intra-corporate questionnaire survey and an online form Zefis to analyze the effectiveness and balance of systems according to the method HOS-8. The fourth chapter contains the project proposal, the choice of a new information system, prognosis of timetable of implementation, its risks and economic calculations. The conclusion summarizes the results achieved solutions and recommendations.
