Abstract
This thesis deals with uses of dependent pressure method for analysis of sheeting construction and comparison of results according to three design approaches of EC7. In the introduction, there are briefly mentioned basic types of sheeting constructions, which are applied in routine. Next chapter focuses on the summary of standard methods for analysis of sheeting constructions with an explanation of their basic principles. The main content is the application of dependent pressure method which allows to considering objectively mutual interaction between construction and surrounding ground. The paper presents the principle features of the method, the approaches for determination of required characteristic values, and the fields of application. The author of this thesis pays more attention to methods for determination of modulus of subsoil reaction. The paper‘s principal aim is an illustration analysis of sheeting construction based on dependent pressure method in geotechnical software GEO5, the FINE‘s company. The analysis varies in approaches according to determination of modulus subsoil reaction, different values of friction factor between construction and surrounding ground, and different design approaches of EC7. In the conclusion, there is summary and evaluation of results and their comparison.
