Abstract

This thesis is direct for preparation and testing of the filter mediums with ability to remove selected metals from aqueous medium. Filter mediums are activated silica sand, GEH (a material based on iron hydroxides) and their combination 1:1, selected the removed metals are manganese, copper and zinc. First part of my work is theoretical describes of the metals, filter mediums and processes of filtration mediums. Another part includes preparations of model waters and filter materials, description of the performed measurement, measured values and discussion of the obtained results, including comparison removal efficiency of selected metals of the from aqueous medium on the individual filter mediums.
