Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the using of emergency luminaires power by supercapacitors, that has a potential to replace traditional sources of electrical energy in field of emergency lighting.
Theoretical part of this thesis is focused on ČSN EN 1838 standart that describes issues of emergency lighting, its types and recommendation and dividing areas according the level of importance. Theoretical part also analyses possibility of using LED diode like suitable light source for emergency lighting and using of supercapacitor like energy source during the emergency regime of lighting device. Practical part of thesis focused on electrical and lighting measurement of emergency lighting device and emergency safety sign.
The main goal of diploma thesis is to bring new ideas in process of developing a new alternative source of electrical energy for emergency lighting, that brings radical operation cost reduction and shows the benefits of using LED diodes like lighting source for emergency lighting.
