Biodegradace čistírenského kalu

Abstract

The presented thesis is focused in the theoretical part on methods of biodegradation, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, characterization of selected microorganisms used in biodegradation of PAHs and subsequently the Central Waste Water Treatment Plant in Ostrava. This chapter deals in particular with the treatment of sewage and sludge. The practical part deals with the biodegradation of sewage sludge from the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. Pseudomonas putida and Rhodococcus degradans were used in biodegradation. In my thesis I concentrated on comparing the biodegradation with physical sludge pretreatment and without it.
