Abstract

The thesis examines flood prevention measures in the Moravian-Silesian Region, evaluating their effectiveness and financial return. It extensively focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of current measures and suggests possibilities for improvement. It also highlights new threats and underscores the importance of supporting measures that, despite lower financial returns, yield social and environmental benefits.
