Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a single-phase transformer 110/27 kV with an apparent power of 16 MVA, which could be deployed in a traction substation of a 25 kV, 50 Hz railway electrification network.
In the theoretical part, the theory of the transformer and the construction of single-phase transformers are discussed. The following is a general theory of railway electrification systems in our country and in the world, and a future outlook for alternating current railway systems.
The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analytical design of the electromagnetic part of the transformer, i.e. the design of the shape of the magnetic circuit and high and low voltage coils. Then a simplified calculation of heating. This is followed by verification of the electromagnetic design using numerical methods.
At the end, the results of the analytical and numerical calculation of the designed single-phase transformer are summarized and compared.
