Abstract

The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis describes various uses of system of ripple control (RpC) such as operating for energetic, tariff and direct control. Elements, history, and basic concepts of the RpC system as well as transmission of its signal and selection of this signal’s control frequency is described in the following subchapter. The thesis furthermore details RPC signal transmitters, structure of their command codes (telegrams), the most used types of telegrams in Czech Republic and options for connection of the transmitters to the power network. Next chapter is dedicated to RpC receivers, more precisely their general function and household connection. The thesis further elaborates on the basic parameters and different series of receivers and their history. Special part is dedicated to detailed description of FMX 500 which is the most used type of receiver. Finally, the theoretical part evaluates the switching times of the receivers where and to find them and appropriate distributor categories and rates of ČEZ, a. s. The practical part explains RpC receiver’s physical connection to the electricity meter box and relevant measurements. The thesis concludes with relevant connection diagrams, laboratory exercise and sample elaboration of the task.
