Abstract
This diploma thesis is focused on the solution of counting short-circuit currents and design of cables and switchboards. Main goal was creating of an application, which can verify possible results during the design of cable trays and switchboards.
The theoretical part deals with the method of calculation short-circuit currents and their effects according to the relevant standard ČSN EN 60909-0.
In the practical part is described the computational application of Shortcuts itself. There is also explained the principle of application and the equations which were used for the calculations. The practical part includes also a short description of the tasks from each parts of the application. In the end of the thesis are compared the differences between results of manual theoretical calculation and of computational software.
