Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of changes in mechanical properties and microstructure of martensitic steels working in the energy industry. The theoretical part is focused on the structure, basic properties and types of martensitic steels. It includes a section devoted to the influence of heat treatment and individual changes during degradation processes. It is followed by a chapter dealing with the possibilities of modelling changes in the structure of steel. Microscopy and hardness measurements after two different heat treatment cycles were used to assess the changes. The results are then used to assess the changes in martensitic steels compared to duplex and austenitic steels.
