Abstract
This bachelor work is focused on analysis of melting process intensification technologies in the EAF via oxygen use. The work consists of three parts. First part is introduction to electric arc furnace process and equipment fundamentals including basic methods of melting process intensification. Second part covers analysis of available literature focused on operating experience with EAF melting process intensification via oxygen use. Oxygen is used for oxy-fuel burners, post combustion and injection lances and for foaming slag technology. The last part describes intensifications steps of electric arc furnace at Pilsen Steel s.r.o.
