Zhodnocení procesu stárnutí v zemích Evropské unie od roku 1960 do roku 2017

Abstract

Populace stárne, a to nejen v Evropské unii, ale je to problém celosvětový. Pro Evropskou unii je prioritou, především v otázce očekávaného stárnutí populace, nalézt mnohem lepší rovnováhu mezi rodinou a prací a touto cestou tak upevnit pouto solidarity mezi generacemi. Proces stárnutí obyvatelstva je způsoben trendem, že se nerodí tolik dětí a současně se výrazně prodlužuje naděje dožití populace v daném státě. Cílem diplomové bylo zhodnotit proces stárnutí v rámci vymezeného období, a to od roku 1960 do roku 2017, skrze 28 států Evropské unie. Součástí diplomové práce je primárně posoudit proces stárnutí v EU jako celku a sekundárně na území složeného z 28 států, přičemž v každém státě jsou zaznamenány výsledky indexů ekonomického zatížení, indexu ekonomické závislosti dětí a seniorů a indexu stáří. Výsledky těchto ukazatelů jsou znázorněny pomocí škálovací metody semaforu a také prostřednictvím věkové pyramidy jednotlivých evropských států. Výchozím rokem pro zhodnocení těchto států byl rok 2017. Závěrem lze konstatovat, že v rámci stanovených indexů je nejlepším hodnoceným státem Lucembursko, které dosáhlo v rámci hodnocení nejlepších výsledků.

The population is aging, not just in the European Union, but it is a global problem. It is a priority for the European Union to find a much better balance between work and family, and in this way to consolidate the solidarity between the generations, especially as regards the expected aging of the population. The aging process is caused by the trend that so many children are not born and at the same time the life expectancy of the population in the country is significantly increased. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the process of aging within a defined period, from 1960 to 2017, through 28 countries of the EU. Part of the thesis is primarily to assess the process of aging in the EU as a whole and secondarily to the territory composed of 28 states, with the results of the economic burden index, the index of economic dependency of children in each country and seniors and the old age index. The results of these indicators are depicted using the semaphore scaling method and also through the European age pyramids. The starting year for the appreciation of these states was 2017. In conclusion, Luxembourg is the best rated country within the framework of the indices set, which it has achieved in the framework of the best results assessment.
