Abstract

Methods used for treatment of waste waters polluted by oils from the natural gas transport are described in the thesis. Firstly, formation of compounds polluting industrial waters during technology operations is described. Then summary of possible treatment methods for removal of this type of pollution is presented followed by a more detailed description of two methods of waste water treatment already in use. The experimental part of this thesis is focused on application of both these methods: sorption-deemulgation technology and coalescence-sorption method. The results of water treatment obtained by both methods are compared and their advantages/drawbacks are discussed in detail.
