Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a laboratory educational module with a microcontroller intended for teaching automation principles. The module allows demonstration of sensor behaviour, signal generation and conversion, dynamic processes, and simulation of tasks commonly found in industrial automation. It also provides examples of PWM control, state machines, and communication between a PLC and the microcontroller. The thesis focuses on the hardware design, selection of the microcontroller, and development of tasks suitable for laboratory exercises. The resulting module serves as a universal educational tool that enhances practical automation teaching and supports understanding of key control principles.
