Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the comprehensive issues related to the design and construction of transformer stations. The primary objective of the work was to create a methodological guideline for ARPEX MORAVA s.r.o., intended as a practical tool for both design engineers and construction teams. The thesis describes all key phases of the process – from the investor’s initial requirements, through project preparation, technical and legislative demands, to the final construction and commissioning of the facility. Special attention is given to fire safety solutions, noise studies, coordination with network and land owners, correct station placement, and technical parameter dimensioning. The result of the work is a clear set of recommendations and practical procedures aimed at facilitating project practice, minimizing common errors, and improving the quality of completed transformer station projects. The thesis also highlights the importance of connecting theoretical knowledge with practical experience and emphasizes the crucial role of thorough preparation in the early stages of project development. The created methodological guideline contributes to the more efficient and safer construction of transformer stations and can serve not only as a reference document for ARPEX MORAVA s.r.o., but also for a broader professional audience engaged in energy infrastructure development.
