Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to design and implement an information system with the purpose of managing conferences and proceedings via a review process. The organizers are able to create and manage almanacs through an open-source (ShareLaTeX) solution that is appropriately integrated in the system and provides full functionality for the management of proceedings. In the first part, the thesis elaborates on the bachelor thesis, indirectly mirroring its topic. The thesis provides a comparison with current systems in use, and describes decisions that have led to the selection of particular technologies. The second part of the thesis deals with a detailed analysis of the entire information system including the proposed architecture with the definition of predominantly applied technologies and tools. The final part of the thesis is focused on the actual implementation, description of important algorithms in the system, definition of the user interface, and pays attention to possible future improvements and extensions.
