Abstract

This master thesis deals with use of helicopter’s in the conditions of HaZZ and rescue units of IZS. The master thesis is divided for six parts, which describes introduction to the issues with more details description helicopter’s, the Aerial forest firefighting with helicopter’s module and the Ground forest firefighting with vehicle’s module. In the following parts compare the situation and equipment in Slovakia with the situation in the Czech Republic and Austria. In the next part we compare equipment of HaZZ with a private company operating in Slovakia. The fifth part describes the training of HaZZ members with the instructor from Air Rescue Systems. In conclusion we recommend proposals for the purchase and deployment of firefighting aircraft, retrofitting HaZZ equipment that will be used in cooperation with helicopter’s and recommendations on training in cooperation with foreign emergency services.
