Abstract
The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse the human resource activities in the company XY, a.s., to evaluate the practices used in the processes of recruitment and selection, adoption, adaptation and placement, motivation, stimulation, training, development, evaluation and remuneration systems and propose changes to improve those processes. Researched is whether the personnel activities performed in line with topical trends in human resource management. This is done by comparing the methods recommended by the selected authors and used in the company XY, a.s. Each chapter of practical part ends finding that resulted from this comparison. Based on the findings are proposed the main recommendations at the end.
