Využití programu přeshraniční spolupráce Interreg V-A Česká republika – Polsko v Euroregionu Silesia

Abstract

The Silesia Euroregion constitutes a living laboratory of European cross-border cooperation: within the confines of a single territory, contrasting economic structures, a shared cultural heritage, and a collective ambition to overcome peripheral status converge. This bachelor thesis explores how the European Territorial Cooperation programme Interreg V-A Czech Republic – Poland and its Micro-project Fund, during the 2014–2020 programming period, helped translate the strategic priorities of the European Union into concrete projects carried out by municipalities, schools, businesses, and non-governmental organisations. The aim is to chart the thematic focus and scope of the supported activities, identify the key factors behind successful absorption of funds, and outline the potential of this support instrument for the economic, social, and institutional development of the border area. The study draws on an analysis of programme documents and databases of micro-projects. The thesis advances understanding of the role of small-scale projects within the macro-strategy of the European Union and provides a foundation for more effective support design in the forthcoming Interreg VI-A programming period.
