Abstract
The bachelor thesis focuses on a utulization of Distributed Temperature Sensing Systems for a measurement of different ways in which the optical fibers are attached. Stimulated Brillouin Scattering served as a distributed system for this, because it can measure both the voltage and the temperature along optical fibres. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to ascertain how different ways of attachment of optical fibers influence its distortion. The influence of such a distortion was demonstrated experimentally in the Laborator of Transimission Media which is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science on specially made apparatus. The final values of measurements are displayed in the tables and graphs.
