Abstract
The aim of this diploma thesis is to optimize the production process of drawing low carbon steel wire for the production of diffused reinforcement into concrete. In the first phase of the experiment, it was necessary to select a suitable rolled wire supplier, not only with regard to the final strength of wire after the cold drawing, but also taking into account the overall quality of the rolled wire and the ability to respond flexibly to our possible requirements. On the selected rolled wire, we have subsequently tested the modified die series in combination with various types of drawing lubricants so, as to reduce the number of breakage also to reduce the consumption of dies on the final wet drawing process. The experiment has helped us to select the most suitable rolled wire supplier, as well as to verify the most suitable modified dies series and to determine the most suitable lubricant for our application.
