Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the current knowledge about pathogenic microorganisms in warm waters intended for personal hygiene, which can pose a serious risk to human health. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the main microbiological indicators in hot water. With reference to the relevant legislative documents, it also addresses the basic possibilities of health provision of hot water including the correct procedures for hot water consumption. The quality of hot water in selected facilities of the Moravian-Silesian Region during the years 2017 - 2018 is evaluated on the basis of data provided by the Regional Hygiene Station of the Moravian-Silesian Region based in Ostrava, the State Health Institute, and the Silesian Hospital in Opava.
