Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the financial analysis of BRAINMARKET s.r.o., focusing on the evaluation of its indebtedness and financial stability in the period from 2020 to 2024. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of debt financing on the company's performance and based on the findings, to propose measures for the optimization of its capital structure. In the practical part, a comprehensive set of financial analysis methods is applied, including the analysis of absolute and difference indicators, ratio analysis in comparison with the industry as well as direct CZ-NACE competition, value creation models (EVA, WACC), and selected bankruptcy, creditworthiness, and rating models. The analysis revealed that in the crisis year of 2022, due to external macroeconomic shocks and unplanned inventory accumulation, there was a temporary decline in operating performance and a drop in the EVA indicator into negative values. However, the company subsequently demonstrated a high capacity for rapid recovery; by launching its own production, it stabilized its costs and achieved a historical maximum in economic value added in 2024. The results demonstrate that debt resources function as an effective engine of market growth through the positive effect of financial leverage, and the company consistently maintains a safe level of self-financing and high interest coverage stability. In the conclusion of the thesis, specific recommendations for management are formulated, primarily targeting the implementation of advanced inventory management tools, stabilization of net working capital, and interest rate fixation.
