Abstract

This thesis focuses on analyzing the satisfaction of residents of the district of Suché Lazce with the public services provided. The aim of the research was to assess how residents perceive the quality and availability of various public services, such as public space management, safety, transportation, culture, healthcare, and other areas. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey, with 152 respondents participating. The data were analyzed using statistical tests, including t-tests, ANOVA, post hoc Tukey HSD analysis, and chi-square tests. The results revealed that the majority of residents of the district have a positive perception of public services, with the highest satisfaction expressed in the areas of public space management and cultural activities. On the other hand, the area of sports activities showed a need for infrastructure improvement. The research also identified differences in the evaluation of various areas between men and women and among different age groups, which led to the rejection of some original hypotheses. Based on these findings, recommendations were made, such as improving public space maintenance, modernizing sports facilities, ensuring higher safety, and optimizing parking systems. The results of the work can serve as a basis for strategic decisions by the local government and assist in more effective planning of public policies to improve the quality of life for residents.
