Dveřní klika na motivy obrazu Zahrada pozemských rozkoší

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to make a bronze castings set of door handle and door escutcheon plate based on the painting by Hieronymus Bosch, The Garden of Earthly Delights. Each part of the castings will represent one of the parts of the triptych: Paradise Garden, Paradise on Earth and Hell. The theoretical part deals with the broader context of the epoch in which the author of the painting lived. The part focuses on his life and artworks he created. In connection with the painting, the individual scenes are described in more detail. It also includes a brief history of door handles and its design. The practical part clarifies the production process of artistic castings. The partial procedures that needed to be performed to complete the final thesis will be shown and described. This involves processing the design, then transferring it to a clay model, producing a wax or resin model to casting and finishing work.
