Inverzní analýza akustických signálů

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the analysis and recognition of tones from a music recording. The analysis is performed by using Fourier transform. The use of these methods leads to the depiction of Fourier spectra and subsequently spectrograms of music recordings. The spectrograms also depict higher harmonics, known as overtones, which determine the timbre of the instrument. To properly recognize tones of an unknown recording, it is necessary to sample the particular instrument. The samples are then processed using fast Fourier transform and form the basis for subsequent analysis. Unknown played tones will be compared with instrument samples using the unconstrained least squares method and therever by using the inequality constrained least squares method.
