Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with a comparison of web frameworks for programming language Java. I will pursue these four frameworks: Java Server Faces, Vaadin, Struts 2, Spring MVC. First we look at general web applications in Java and introduce the individual frameworks. Then we make familiar the test application which will be compared. In our case it will be a small e-shop. In the final part of the thesis the author brings the resulting comparison and the evaluation of the frameworks according to various criteria. It emphasizes on performance and load tests.
