Abstract

In the diploma thesis are detected heat losses through the ceiling lining of the carousel furnace, which is located at the workplace of ArcelotMittal Ostrava a.s. The values needed for further calculations were also obtained and calculated here. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis describes the thermalwork of the furnace, the necessary calculations for the determination of heat losses and the suggestion of the ceiling lining for reheating furnace. In the experimental part, these calculations are used to determine these heat losses through the lining. The aim of the thesis is then to reduce the losses with new lining, which reports better thermal properties. At the end of the work, these differences will be taken into account in fuel savings.
