Studium modifikace materiálu frikčních kompozitů při třecím procesu

Abstract

This thesis deals with gaseous substances escape from commercially available brake linings during the braking process, and their characteristics. Suspended and sedimented wear debris fractions of abrasive material of brake pads surfaces were studied. Sampling of gaseous products of the friction process was performed on the equipment for testing of brake pads. Samples were analyzed by gas chromatography, the results were compared with those obtained by decomposition of brake linings in the tube furnace. In both cases, benzene and other hydrocarbons were detected. These are released in everyday traffic and pollute the environment.
