Management hokejového klubu

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to focuse on the management of a selected ice-hockey club. It is a very specific economic area, which recently has forced to create a new concept of management called sport management. In the theoretical part basic management terms, the analysis of a manager personality, basic kinds of sports and athletes are explained. The part related to ice hockey contains research methods that were also used in the practical part. In the practical part the club characteristics and particular organizations a club consists of are described. Furthermore, incomes and costs from several years were compared there. There is also an interview with Karel Suchánek, the chief trainer of the youth and the main trainer of A-team. A questionnaire answered by ice-hockey players closes the practical part. The following chapter includes research evaluation, summary and recommendation related to HC Slezan Opava management.
