Abstract

Resume The title of the topic of my Bachelor ´s work is Gastronomic specialities of South Moravia. I was writing this Bachelor ´s paper under guidance of Mr Doc. Ing. Václav Lednický CSc. The objective was to make the visitors to the South Moravian region with the local gastronomy and at the same time with the famous South-Moravian traditions. In theoretical part, I deal with the definition of the term gastronomy in general and the South-Moravian traditions as well as the definition of the term tourism. In this part, I also mention some typical gastronomic specialities of South Moravia, and in addition to that I focus on the description of a real Moravian pig-slaughtering. Due to the fact that South Moravia is a large region, I also included in the theoretical part the description of some selected territories of South Moravia with their typical local food. This part also includes a directed dialogue with the owner of the wine cellar in the village Mařatice. With help of the SWOT analysis, I evaluated the standing of the destination South Moravia both from the point of view of the whole region and from the point of view of its gastronomy. In the practical part, I focused on the creation of my own menu for children, middle-aged and elderly people, and on drawing up a diet menu. I tried to suggest a banquet for 120 people and a scenario of a festive table on the occasion of a wedding reception. I really found the topic of my Bachelor´s paper very interesting. Although I have lived in South Moravia since my childhood, only after detailed investigation I learnt about a lot of new information that is a great asset for me, and I do hope this will also be an asset for everybody who will read this Bachelor´s work.
