Abstract

Anotation of thesis Bc. Ladislav Chmelař : Development of Landslides Remediation, , Department of geotechnical and subterrestrial building, College of Building VŠB – Technical university Ostrava, 2013, 68 pages, supervisor of thesis doc. Ing. Robert Kořínek, CSc.. The subject of the thesis is a summary of available information on the issue of the ground instability. The first chapter is devoted to the definition of formation and recognition of the slope failures . In this chapter are described symptoms of ground instabilities and their impact on economic damages. Landslides are divided according to the specific phenomenons. There are mentioned risks and basic landslides areas in the Czech Republic. The second chapter is focused on the reasons that cause ground instability . There are described the causes and examples in detail. The third chapter is about procedures leading to the solutions of the remedial measures. This chapter is divided according to the specific conditions of the main elements essential for remediation and establishes their purpose and method of use in specific cases. Chapter four is focused on the use of the special remedial interventions which we can currently encounter. It is mainly about the using of multiple elements of remedial measures and special methods. The final section points to evaluation of the effectiveness of remedial measures.
