Analyzování efektivity práce ve zdravotnictví za pomoci DEA modelů

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of individual departments of the medical facility and on the basis of the obtained data to design an optimization solution that will streamline their operation and thus the operation of the entire facility. This efficiency problem is solved using DEA models, which were applied through the GAMS program. The first part of this bachelor thesis contains a theory of health care, which includes its historical development, structure of division and methods of financing. The next part consists of theories concerning DEA models, specifically their characteristics, definitions of basic terms, divisions and methodologies for working with them. The last part of this bachelor thesis includes a brief description of production units, individual inputs and outputs. The conclusion of this part is focused on the application of DEA models to specific data, evaluation of the obtained results and subsequent design of optimization solutions in order to increase the efficiency of selected inefficient departments.
