Abstract

This thesis deals with the areas of the European union cooperation with ACP countries. The objective is characterization, analysis and evaluation of the development of relations between the EU and the ACP States in the context of the principles of EU development policy, focusing on the current situation and analysis of mutual trade relations. The work is divided into three chapters. The opening chapter deals with the characteristics of the developing regions and the introduction of EU development policy, its objectives, principles and tools. The following chapter discusses the development of mutual cooperation between the EU and the ACP countries. There are analyzed the various contracts, assistance tools explained and presented the financial security cooperation. The final part deals with analysis of the Cotonou Agreement and the new economic agreement EPA. Furthermore, the chapter analyzed and reviewed trade relations between the two parties and quantified in financial assistance from the Union.
