Abstract

This thesis deals primarily with optical fibers, which are useful for their properties and are increasingly used for data transmission. The aim of this thesis is the introduction the basic types of optical fibers and measuring the basic types of attenuation, both direct and indirect measurement method. I designed and implemented the route in the area of the VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava.
