Abstract

The topic of this thesis is occupational health and safety in the workplace of essential oil production. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical knowledge, mainly introducing the field of essential oils such as composition, physical and chemical properties, methods of their production and introducing the legislative requirements related to the activity. The second part is dedicated to a specific company. It introduces the company and its operations. It describes the current state of OSH in the production hall and storage areas, focusing on documentation and the workplace itself. Lastly, it contains a proposal for improving the level of safety in the company.
