Abstract

The aim of this thesis is innovation of data processing. Specifically, the proposal deals with the process of data processing from electricity meters (electric meters) installed in offtake points of small customers and households. It is a process innovation that is triggered by the internal customer need. The main proposed change lies in the reading method of the recorded state of electricity consumption. The current process of reading and data processing from electric meters is done so-called "manually". In the proposed solution, the data is read remotely and the entire processing process is thus automated. The implementation of the proposed innovation represents the initial investment costs of acquiring the technology for automated data processing. The change in the process should contribute to meeting the needs of the internal customer and it should also bring savings in terms of lower operating costs. The economic efficiency of the investment in the proposed innovation is evaluated in the practical part.
