Abstract
Evaluation of safety and reliability of water jet during its application in Javorka quarry in Lázně Bělohrad was the goal of this thesis. The analysis was carried using an appropriate method of safety risks analysis.
Information about the stone quarry Javorka is given at the beginning. In the next chapter the principle of water jet cutting is explained in detail and the particular technology used in the quarry is described. Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is attended in the next chapter. Safety and health protection in quarry operations using water jet are discussed in the next chapter and data from a noise measurement are analysed. Possible complications concerning water jet injury are included in the last chapter.
