Spotřebitelské chování v oblasti vzniku a nakládání s odpadem z oděvů: Analýza v České republice

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of clothing waste, analyzes the causes of its occurrence, the current way of dealing with this waste and the negative effects it has on the environment. The theoretical part provides basic awareness of this topic, describes the clothing industry as the main producer of this waste. At the same time, it describes the current trends in the purchase of clothes associated with the concepts of fast fashion and ultra fast fashion. The main emphasis is placed on the role of the consumer, whose decision to purchase clothing between fast fashion and slow fashion concepts has a key influence on the total amount of clothing waste produced. For this reason, the practical part of the work focuses on the investigation of consumer behavior in the Czech Republic in the mentioned area. Based on the analysis, proposals and recommendations are presented that should contribute to reducing the amount of clothing waste and to mitigating the overall negative environmental impacts that contemporary society is dealing with.
