Abstract
The thesis deals with a design and realization of the carbon monoxide detector as an active element of the emergency response reacting on a critical situation of gas flow heaters in civic amenities. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The first part explains the physiology of human respiration and the influence of carbon monoxide on human’s health. There is described the course of poisoning and an emphasis is placed on the development of a device which is capable to solve the situation immediately. Further there are described the technological possibilities of existing technology and the prediction of its future development. In the practical part, there are proposed two solutions, a simple and economic one and the other technologically more advanced. The active emergency engine designed in these devices will ensure that the cause is immediately eliminated, as well as consequences of a condition that directly threatens human life.
