Abstract

My thesis deals with electric traction in rail public transport. The first point is the history of public transport, which deals with the development of public transport in the Czech Republic and abroad. Especially for the tram, metro and trolley. Another point is the public transport infrastructure chariots. Here I deal with the nature of transport for tram, trolley and subway construction catenary, ways of fixing overhead lines, cross-sectional shape of the overhead line construction rails, a crossover and a description. Further thesis handles view of the trolley and tram power networks, where can we find chapters and traction substations, power supply urban electric railways. Another area of the traction motors, which use public transport vehicles. These engines are further broken down into other types (DC motor and three-phase AC induction motor). Another area of the thesis is description of tram and metro, this chapter contains parameters, construction, electrical equipment and management principle. Comparing the different modes of transport in terms of Ostrava. I come from annual reports for 2012, 2013 and 2014. Comparing tram, trolleybus and bus services in terms of the number of tickets sold, number of passengers, number of lines, line length, the length of operational networks, the number of drivers, mileage, number of stops and the number of vehicles . Finally, compare the technical parameters of trams and trolleybuses by type, in terms of operating performance, type of traction motors and their number and weight of vehicles, the number of passenger transport. Furthermore, the thesis solves the energy consumption of energy by the mileage for tram and trolleybus in the last years (2014,2015,2016) and power consumption of the electric bus
