Abstract

The diploma thesis describes the design of a biometric system for palm classification. This work deals with a brief description of all biometric methods, their use for various fields and specializations, up to the advantages and disadvantages of the use itself. Everything is summarized in a way suitable for better orientation in the field of biometrics itself. The main part of the thesis consists of a description of a specific biometric method, i.e. the palm print method. The practical part is devoted to the theory of convolutional neural networks. An algorithm for testing a palmprint database using two convolutional neural networks is created.
