Abstract
The objective of the present thesis was to design and construct a logic analyzer using a microprocessor system and its possible connection to PC. The objective also included creation of software for the measuring device for control and display of the measurement curves and for testing its function using measurement of a numeric signal known to us beforehand.
The first part of the diploma thesis was focused on detailed analysis of logic signals and their display in real time. In the other parts of the paper, design and construction of the logic analyzer was presented, selected programming parts were described in brief, followed by schematic programming of a gate array and the microprocessor programming in language C. Also, the created program for control and display of measured data in a computer was described. The final part of the diploma thesis was focused on description of measurement of a numeric signal known to us beforehand, using the designed logic analyzer, on description of the mechanical construction and also description of the instructions for use of the logic analyzer.
