dc.description.abstractReconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) are emerging as a promising alternative for future wireless networks. This study investigates deviceto-device (D2D) communication systems using nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and RISs between user devices and base stations to enhance the performance of the proposed system. The closed-form and approximate-form expressions of outage probability (OP) were demonstrated with the impact of imperfect successful interference cancelation (ipSIC) to give more key insight into our work. Finally, the Monte Carlo simulation is adopted to clarify the accuracy of the analysis of mathematical expressions.cs
