Abstract

The goal of the Master’s thesis is to establish an efficient system of job safety when operating lifting devices at company Beskyd, Inc. This thesis is dedicated to the general issues of lifting devices and statistics of accidents suffened when operating lifting devices within the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis assesses and compares the requirements of Czech and Slovak legislation. All the accident risks related to the use of lifting devices are evaluated. Finally, safety working procedures are designed and outlined in order to avoid future accidents.
