Abstract

This thesis deals with the issue of the hospital preparedness for crisis situations. This issue is very extensive and therefore the author in his work has focused primarily on finding vulnerabilities, which could be problematic in the event of a crisis. Fundamental scenarios of potential threats to the hospital are selected by using the method FMEA, based on the risk analysis. The author evaluates the elaboration of the hospital emergency preparedness plan, which includes plans for each specific activity. The conclusion contains a summary of the overall state of preparedness of the hospital to handle emergencies and the resulting recommendations for the hospital management.
