Abstract

The target of this work is to create diagnostic application for mobile devices (PDAs or Smartphones) with OS Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher. Program will be used for vehicles which support OBDII. This application will communicate with control unit and it will obtain information through interpreter based on an integrated circuit with Bluetooth ELM327 interface. Another focus of this work is to create an overview of available diagnostic tools, especially the protocols under the OBDII specification. Finally, create an overview of the most famous diagnostic software which is used for the OBDII diagnostics.
