Ekonomické zhodnocení vybraných zdravotních pojišťoven v České republice

Abstract

Tématem bakalářské práce bylo Ekonomické zhodnocení vybraných zdravotních pojišťoven v České republice. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zhodnotit tři největší činné zdravotní pojišťovny působící na území České republiky. Bakalářská práce byla strukturována do šesti kapitol a vychází z platné legislativy k 1. březnu 2022, v teoretické části byl kladen důraz na vymezení základních pojmů z oblasti zdravotnictví, např. byl definován pojem zdraví, determinanty zdraví, zdravotní politika, typologie zdravotnických systémů, systém využívaný v České republice, a mimo jiné i legislativní vymezení fungování zdravotních pojišťoven České republiky. V praktické části byl důraz kladen na analýzu tří vybraných zdravotních pojišťoven ze dvou hledisek, za období 2016 až 2020. Z prvního hlediska byla proveden analýza vybraných ukazatelů, např. počet pojištěnců, počet smluvních poskytovatelů zdravotních služeb. Z druhého hlediska byla řešena finanční kondice zdravotních pojišťoven. Pro účely bakalářské práce byly využity primárně veřejně poskytované údaje, tedy výroční zprávy vybraných zdravotních pojišťoven. Dalším zdrojem dat byly oficiální stránky Ministerstva financí České republiky. Výsledky analýzy pomocí vybraných ukazatelů ukázaly, že z tohoto hlediska dopadla nejlépe Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna České republiky, která si udržuje své dominantní postavení na trhu. Zatímco z hlediska finanční kondice nejlépe dopadla Zdravotní pojišťovna ministerstva vnitra České republiky.

The topic of the bachelor thesis was the Economic evaluation of selected health insurance companies in the Czech Republic. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the three largest health insurance companies operating in the Czech Republic. The bachelor thesis was structured into six chapters and based on the legislation in force as of 1 March 2022, the theoretical part emphasized the definition of basic concepts in the field of healthcare, e.g. the concept of health, determinants that affect health, health policy, typology of health systems, the system used in the Czech Republic and among others the legislative definition of the functioning of health insurance companies in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the focus was on the analysis of three selected health insurance companies from two aspects, for the period 2016 to 2020. From the first aspect, the analysis of selected indicators, e.g. number of insured persons, and the number of contracted health service providers, was carried out. From the second point of view, the financial condition of the health insurance companies was addressed. For the purposes of the bachelor thesis, primarily publicly provided data, i.e. annual reports of selected health insurance companies, were used. Another source of data was the official website of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic. The results of the analysis using selected indicators showed that the General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic, which maintains its dominant position in the market, performed best in this respect. While in terms of financial condition, the Health Insurance Company of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic fared best.
