Modelování ekonomické úspěšnosti těžebních podniků

Abstract

The basic methodology of this dissertation is to identify suitable economic entities, which are mining companies operating on the domestic market, whose data from financial statements are the input for verifying the functionality of the selected prediction models. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the analysis of existing prediction models and determination of appropriate models for the prediction of bankruptcy of mining enterprises. The basis of the thesis is testing, which consists in applying the selected prediction models and verifying their functionality on real data from the financial statements of the subject mining companies and monitoring the symptoms in three consecutive periods. The aim of the thesis is to determine the most suitable model for predicting the bankruptcy of a company, as a tool for evaluating the economic success of a company. The created model is the output of a dissertation and in practice can serve as a suitable tool for effective financial management of mining companies in the Czech Republic.
