Abstract

This thesis deals with a pair of close roundabouts with high traffic intensity in top times. For the purpose of this diploma thesis has been selected two pairs of roundabouts in Nový Jičín and Valašské Meziříčí. The thesis is divided into sections according to their respective cities. These sections contain a description of intersections, traffic surveys, capacity calculations etc. It further describes the proposals for amendments to individual intersections and brief procedure works in the PTV VISSIM. The aim of this thesis is to assess the interaction of two roundabouts by simulations in the above program in increasing traffic volumes.
